Hi everyone,
Thanks so much for your patience with me these past few weeks, especially to everyone recently subscribed. I have had a hard time of getting anything down for my newsletter. Writer’s block, been in a little bit of a fog.
Last time we spoke, I was just about to have my second popup, this time at Song. The event was a blast. I had an amazing team helping; Adrienne, Kat, Cheryl, Homa. I loved the look of the dining room as guests started to arrive, and I was so happy to see so many of you come early. Whole grain breakfast forever. This is a popup I would do again, and not change a thing. Thanks again to Terrance of Song, for allowing us to use his space.
As some of you might have already heard, there is a space I have been looking at that I really like. I submitted an offer to lease and have been going through negotiations all week. I am going to accept their most recent counter-offer, and begin a 30-day due diligence period. I feel like most of my ducks are in a row, and by next month we will know for sure what the future of Tommy’s Whole Grain is shaping up to be. With the time it takes the city to issue permits, the construction phase and ordering equipment, we are still several months away from opening. But it is starting to feel like it’s getting closer.
There is still so much to do. With that in mind, I want to thank you again for your interest and support in the work I do. I have never attempted to do anything like this before, and I have no doubt I wouldn’t have been able to get this far is it wasn’t for the incredible support I get from my community. Thank you.
In these next months, I hope you will continue to support me. Please stay tuned for our next popup, engage on this platform, leave a comment about what you’re looking forward to or what you might like to see from me. Please continue to share and help me reach a wider audience.
I’m so glad it is the beginning of Spring. I am looking forward to warmer weather and longer days. March can be a difficult month, and I hope that you’re feeling optimistic about things, too.
I will follow up again before too long. Vancouver Whole Grain Baker’s Group needs to schedule our next meeting.
Finally, please get in touch if you have any questions for me. Want to know something about the bakery, or how you can get involved? Have a grain or bread question I could help with? Have an idea for content you think I should do? I would love to hear from you.
That’s it for now. Looking forward to seeing you soon.
good luck, my dear friend!
